Who I Am – Authenticity

Authentic from Soul Essentials

There is a moth bumbling about my living room as I write.  I left the door by my desk open just a crack so the dog could let himself back in after his evening foray into the woods and instead this poor lost moth came in  – seeking the light.

In many ways we are kindred spirits, this moth and I, bumbling through life seeking always seeking.  For years I sought my identity in things and people outside myself.  The things – food, alcohol, drugs – left a larger hole within me every time I tried to make them my source.  The people never wanted to have that kind of power in my life anyway.  But through my errors I have, thankfully, found my way to Who I Am. Trial and error, one bumbling step at a time there has been healing and re-creation.  Turns out I had the solution deep down within myself all along.  The Divine in me calling me home to myself.  The more I try and tune in to that still small voice deep within me the more I discover that it is where peace and deep joy reside.

The good news is that, once I find something I can usually find my way back to it.  Once I stopped looking for my light and truth in things outside myself my journey became more purpose full. I am meant to be Who I Am – and so are you.  By shining our authentic light into the world we liberate others to do the same – encourage, inspire, and challenge.  Who We Are is the greatest gift we have to give – celebrate your authentic self today!

Very nice Sue! I love how you write so freely from a place of truth and stand tall in that place! And yes, what you share here does invite my truth to shine through into this world too! Thankyou Sue for being such a good friend; I truly feel blessed to have met you! ☼
